A Deerfield Township firefighter was arrested following a weekend standoff with police.

Nicholas Bombske, 27, of Hyde Park, is accused of breaking into his girlfriend’s parents’ home in the 3700 block of N. Berkley Circle in Silverton on Saturday, according to Hamilton County court records.

The Enquirer’s Jennifer Baker has more details:

A police SWAT team responded and took him into custody following a standoff that prompted police to order neighboring residents to remain inside their homes, records state.

Bombske faces charges of burglary, inducing panic and obstructing official business.

When he made his first court appearance on the charges in Hamilton County Municipal Court on Monday, his bond was set at $11,000.

He has since been released from the jail.

It is unclear if he will return to duty in Deerfield Township while his case works through the courts.

Deerfield Township fire officials did not immediately return a call for comment Tuesday.
