Hungry for a challenge? Stretch your stomach for Blue Ash Chili’s new “No Freakin’ Way” challenge.
The test: Consume a gut-busting four-way laden with a heaping two-and-a-half pounds of spaghetti, two-and-a-half pounds of chili, topped with two pounds of shredded cheddar cheese and one pound of spicy deep-fried jalapeno caps.
For those with a large enough stomach and an appetite for victory, that’s eight pounds of Cincinnati-style goodness.
Take a stab at either the restaurant’s original spot in Blue Ash or its Mason location at 4200 Aero Drive.
Clean your plate in one hour and get the meal for free, plus a T-shirt and your mug on the honorary Hall of Fame.
If you fail? You still get the T-shirt and your photo hung on the Wall of Shame, and, of course, a bill for your $39.99 dish.
Known locally for its ultra-sized double-decker sandwiches and homemade chili, Blue Ash Chili gained national acclaim last year when it appeared on “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives,” the Food Network’s top-rated show.
The popular eatery launched its new challenge on Thursday, along with several new food offerings.
Owner Nick Insco is betting that the most intrepid of diners won’t be able to resist the taunting message of “No Freakin’ Way.”
“It’s possible — for the right person,” he said with a laugh. “I probably couldn’t finish this if I tried.”
