Mason Community Center to hold sampler day for special needs children

Posted by rrichardson December 15th, 2011, 9:06 am

The Mason Community Center will offer a free one-day program for families with special needs on Saturday, Jan. 28.

The “Try It: Sports!” program is designed to help families with special needs members feel more comfortable trying a new activity without the pressure of having to join a team or class.

Families can pick from a range of activities that day, including baseball, soccer and a Zumba class sampler, all of which have been designed for children with a range of participation level.

The event takes place from 2-4 p.m. Special needs organizations are encouraged to take part in the event. For more information on joining the event, call 513-229-8555, ext. 5549.

The Mason Community Center is at 6050 Mason-Montgomery Road and can be reached at 513-229-8555 or by email at communitycenter@masonoh.org.
