Mason graduate Zach Patterson is one of two University of Cincinnati Bearcats to be named to the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association Academic All-Ohio Team.
The 2010 Mason graduate and current UC junior missed time due to injury, but started all 11 matches played and posted one assist from his midfield position. His player bio lists him as a “solidifying force in the midfield for the Bearcats” and a starter in four Big East matches.
He holds a 3.28 GPA in entrepreneurship, according to the university.
At Mason, Patterson was named first team all-district and first team Greater Miami Conference, and helped lead the Comets to three league championships.
Fellow Bearcat Sam Klosterman was also named to the OCSA Academic All-Ohio team and Cole DeNormandie to the OCSA All-Ohio team.
“We would like to congratulate all three guys on their All-Ohio recognition,” said head coach Hylton Dayes. “They are all very deserving and a tremendous reward for their hard work on the field and in the classroom.”
