Community center offers snow day child care option

Posted by rrichardson January 17th, 2012, 10:02 am

Snow days often bring cheers from students — and jeers from parents, who suddenly need child care.

But when the school doors close, other doors open at the Mason Community Center.

The center offers Snow Day Camps from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for children ages 6-12 on days Mason Schools cancels classes due to inclement weather.

Each camp day features group games, crafts, sports, a movie and swimming.  Attendees should bring their own packed lunches.

Daily camp cost is $19 for Mason Community Center premier members; $22 for basic members; $28 for Mason residents and $33 for non-Mason residents.

Registration usually begins at 5:30 a.m. on same-day announcements or after Mason Schools announces classes are cancelled.  Space is limited to the first 30 registered participants.

To register, call 513-229-8555 or register online for activity 433807 at www.imaginemason.org.
