The Warren County Convention & Visitor’s Bureau will award one creative Facebook user with free passes to some of Mason’s most popular attractions.
To celebrate Leap Year, the WCCVB has asked its Facebook fans to capture creative photographs of the number “29″ and upload the images to its Facebook page. Fans will then vote from Feb. 20-29 on their favorite representation of the number “29.”
The photo with the most votes at midnight on Feb. 29 will receive an “Extra Day to Play” getaway package. The prize package includes four tickets to The Beach Waterpark, four passes to Lazer Kraze and a one-night stay at the Hyatt Place Cincinnati Northeast in Mason.
The Facebook promotion is intended to drive tourism, said Sally Derrick, WCCVB marketing director. She points to a recent survey by Destination Analysts, Inc., that shows 49 percent of leisure travelers rely on user-generated content and 26 percent use social media to plan vacations.
“Facebook promotions are a great way to create new fans of this destination and showcase Warren County tourism partners and getaways,” she said.
Photo entries are accepted now through Feb. 19. Enter online at the WCCVB Facebook page. The winning photograph will be announced on Feb. 29.
