John Clark of Mason recently earned an instrument rating on his pilot certificate.
Clark, a student in the aviation technology program at the University of Cincinnati Clermont College, is now approved through the Federal Aviation Administration to fly aircraft solely by reference to instruments.
He is completing his studies in the professional pilot program at the Clermont County Airport.
