Mason High School is looking for volunteer attorneys to serve as legal advisors for its mock trial team.

Volunteer legal advisers are needed to help students write and edit opening and closing statements, craft direct examination questions and provide direction on objections and court room proceedings.

The season runs from October through February. Meetings are held at the high school from 2:15-4 p.m. Tuesday and Thursdays. The team also has scrimmages on Saturday mornings and competitions Fridays in February and March.

“Your attendance at scrimmages and competitions is preferred but not necessary,” said advisor Danielle Lyons, MHS social studies teacher.

Prospective volunteers should send a letter of interest to Student Activities Director Lori Fox-Allen at foxl@mason.k12.oh.us or Lyons at lyonsd@mason.k12.oh.us.
