Deerfield Township has opened a temporary station this week due to construction and road closures.
The township has opened a station at the Palmera Apartment complex at the intersection of Bethany and Butler-Warren roads.
The temporary station is in response to road closures on Bethany Road. The roadway closed Monday between Ivy Grove and Meadowbrook lanes through June 25. Another closure, which started Monday and will last through October, closed Pinnacle Lane at Bethany Road, according to the Warren County Engineer’s Office.
“We feel it is imperative to provide a more efficient response to those areas that would see a delay in service due to the construction” said Battalion Chief Mark Miller.
Hills Property, which manages the apartment complex, has provided the department with a maintenance garage to house one fire engine and an apartment for personnel.
Deerfield Township operates three fire and rescue stations in the township. For more information, call 513-339-0558 or go to www.deerfieldtwp.com.
