Eric Routenberg, seen here with Jennifer Kerr of Cincinnati, is the founder and organizer of Green Drinks Mason
Green Drinks Mason, a group that promotes environmentalism and sustainability, will meet 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 27 at Cock & Bull, 275 East Sharon Road, Glendale.
Brewster Rhoads, executive director of Green Umbrella, Greater Cincinnati’s Regional Sustainability Alliance, will speak. Stop by for food and drink specials, prizes and a chance to win gift certificates to area vendors.
Green Drinks Mason meets the fourth Wednesday of each month to encourage people interested in green issues to interact and grab a drink together.
Mason resident Eric Routenberg learned about the nonprofit Green Drinks movement, started years ago by an Englishman, through a magazine article and founded the Mason chapter in 2009.
“I love connecting people through my Green Drinks events, whether it be for social, business, personal, etc…,” he said. “We all know someone that can help someone.”
There are more than 460 active chapters of Green Drinks around the world. The group’s code is simple: It was created for people working on environmental issues, but is open to everyone. Green Drinkers mingle and share ideas to inspire one another.
The event is free to attend. For more information, call Routenberg at 513-254-8072 or email him at erockavella@hotmail.com.
