The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a Storm Watch Warning today for Greater Cincinnati.
The NWS is expecting strong storms until 10 p.m. for Hamilton and surrounding counties. Severe storms are developing across northern Indiana and are expect to turn southeast toward the Greater Cincinnati area.
According to the Weather Service, the main threat from the storms will be damaging winds and hail.
As of 5:30 p.m., Duke Energy was reporting that nearly 86,000 of its customers were without power, plus the city of Hamilton reported outages affecting 3,400 customers. More than 18,000 homes are without power in Warren County. For a list of current outages, click here.
