Ohio Valley Orthopedics and Sports Medicine has been purchased by the TriHealth system.

With offices in Kenwood, Mason and West Chester, the Ohio Valley group includes seven doctors, five physical therapists and six athletic trainers.

The acquisition extends the trend of independent medical groups joining bigger systems.  Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

TriHealth, the operator of Good Samaritan and Bethesda North hospitals and the Group Health Associates and Queen City Physicians doctors groups, now employs about 360 doctors overall.
