A second session of Mason’s youth running club sprints off Monday.
The coed club for children ages 9 to 14 strives to teach sportsmanship, self-discipline, teamwork and goal achievement while preparing runners to complete a 5K run.
Runners will have the chance to complete a 5K in the last week of the program and receive discounted registration for the Blazin’ with Love 5K on Sept. 1 at the Golf Center at Kings Island. The run benefits the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
The club meets from 4:15-5 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays for six weeks through Sept. 12. Cost is $67 for Mason Community Center Premier members; $78 for Community Center Basic members; $98 for residents and $117 for non-residents.
For more information or to register, call the Mason Community Center at 513-229-8555 or register online (activity code 336540) at www.imaginemason.org.
