Jennifer Edwards Baker reports:
A smog alert is in effect today with the temperature soaring to 92 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.
The alert means those suffering from respiratory issues, the elderly and small children should limit time outdoors.
Tonight should be mostly clear with a low around 61.
This weekend will remain steamy with daytime temperatures in the low 90s and overnight lows in the upper 60s.
It will remain dry until at least Monday, when there’s a 20 percent chance for showers and thunderstorms.
Tropical Storm Isaac, which is near Puerto Rico, is expected to move near Key West later this weekend and then go onto the Gulf of Mexico, according to the weather service.
Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky could see some rain from Isaac by late next week, but it is too early to say how much.
