Adrianna Piontek, a student-athlete at the University of Cincinnati, has been named to the 2012 Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association honor roll.
Piontek, of Mason, were among three UC lacrosse players and 173 athletes to be honored by the organization. She is a sports administration major with a 3.664 GPA and has been named to the dean’s list eight times, according to the university.
Piontek’s achievements helped the 2011-2012 squad win the Big East conference Team Academic Excellence award, awarded to the team with the highest GPA in each conference sport. UC’s team had a 3.415 GPA in 2011-2012, including a 3.477 GPA in the fall, which was the highest for any university team that semester.
She is the daughter of Ron and Anna Piontek of Mason.
