A 93-year-old man who went missing Thursday died in a car crash in Michigan, according to Mason police.
Thomas “Tim” Willwerth died late Thursday in Saginaw, Mich., a prepared statement reads.
Mason police issued a critical missing alert for the man after he went missing at his home on Village Drive in Mason Christian Village about 2 a.m. Thursday.
BEGIN ORIGINAL STORY: Police are looking for a 93-year-old man with dementia who went missing from his home early Thursday.
Thomas “Tim” Willwerth, who was last seen around 2 a.m. at his residence at Mason Christian Village, was wearing a striped shirt, blue jeans and a tan sweater. He is driving a silver 2007 Mercury Milan with Ohio plates ECR7912.
Police say he has not driven in two years because of his medical condition.
Willwerth’s wife, who reported him missing, told police that her husband gets lost very easily.
