Janice Morse reports:
Warren County and state park officials are investigating the drowning of a woman at Caesar Creek State Park, Matt Eiselstein, spokesman for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, said today.
Officials received an emergency call around 8:15 a.m. Monday, reporting that a husband and wife had spent the weekend on the lake boating and that, when the husband awoke, his wife was missing, Eiselstein said.
Investigators from the state department’s Division of Watercraft investigated and found the woman had drowned, Eiselstein said.
The victim was identified as Karla Stewart of Mason, officials said.
Eiselstein directed further inquiries to the Warren County Coroner’s Office, which couldn’t immediately be reached.
