Keystone Kops 1965

From the archives: Keystone Kops are on the prowl rounding up suspects for stockade and Kangaroo Court in promotion of Mason’s sesquicentennial celebration, Sept. 1-6 (1965).

With Skip Stringer at the wheel of the paddy wagon and Dick Lehman riding shotgun, Mason’s “finest” include Max Calvert, Tom Muennich, Bill Boop, Bob Stone, Ralph Smith, James Baysore, Glen Knight and Art Hill. They’re seeking out residents who have violated an “ordinance” to grow whiskers. The young hitchhiker wasn’t identified.

Enquirer run date: Aug. 25, 1965.
