Jennifer Edwards Baker reports:
It will be a cool, rainy day with temperatures in the upper 40s and 50s this morning.
The high temperature will struggle to reach the 60s as rainfall arrives around noon, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.
The mercury will top out at 64 degrees by 5 p.m.
More showers are possible tonight, along with thunderstorms, after 9 p.m. The low will slip to 58.
The chance for rain will stick around through Wednesday, but high temperatures will rebound into the low 70s.
Storms on Tuesday afternoon could be severe at times with high winds and hail.
Overnight lows will remain in the upper 50s.
