Jennifer Edwards Baker reports:
The week is starting off to a cool start with a mix of sun and clouds today and the high temperature only reaching 60 degrees.
After a weekend with temperatures in the 70s, a cold front from the north passed through overnight and pushed off to the east, said meteorologist John Franks.
It’s 55 degrees this morning at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.
Tonight will be mostly clear but cold. The low will plunge to 39 degrees.
The weather will begin to warm Tuesday with plenty of sun and a high of 65.
The overnight low will be much more normal for this time of year with the temperature falling to 52 degrees.
Normally this time of year, overnight lows are in the mid-40s and highs peak around 67, Franks said.
By Wednesday, the mercury will push to 75 degrees under mostly sunny skies.
There is a slight chance for showers Wednesday night into Thursday morning as another cold front arrives the Great Lakes region.
That front will bring cooler, wet weather as the week ends.
Highs will struggle to reach the upper 50s by Saturday with overnight lows in the 40s.
