Acting Up, a Mason-based community youth theater, will hold auditions for its spring musical, “Bugsy Malone,” Nov. 13-14.
The slapstick comedy follows the rivalry between child “gangs” determined to rule over New York City. Instead of throwing fists or bullets, the kiddie mobsters shoot rapid-fire custard-shooting “splurge” guns and flour bombs.
Auditions will be held 6:30-8:30 p.m. both days at Mason Intermediate, 6307 Mason-Montgomery Road. The show will be performed March 8-10.
Auditions are open to youth ages 6-18. Those auditioning should prepare a monologue or song (not to exceed two minutes in length) and work on a New York accent.
Audition forms are available online at www.actingup.com. For more information, call 513-494-6062.
