Mason Community Center to host open house, festival and volunteer fair Saturday

Posted by rrichardson October 25th, 2012, 12:37 pm

From volunteer opportunities to fitness classes, there’s lots going on Saturday at the Mason Community Center.

The center will hold an open house from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. The event coincides with the center’s Fall Festival and the Volunteer Fair.

Admission to the center — including its fitness center, pools and climbing wall — is free between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.

Meet with center’s personal training staff between 9 and 11 a.m. to create your own exercise plan and receive fitness tips or take part in fitness classes beginning at 9 a.m..  Special discounts will be offered on personal training packages and memberships purchased that day.

Check out local volunteer opportunities from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Volunteer Fair.   Saturday also marks National Make a Difference Day.

The Fall Festival kicks off at 11 a.m. and runs through 1 p.m.  The event, now in its second year, offers carnival games, crafts, complimentary treats and other family activities.  A costume contest begins at noon, followed by a magic show at 12:30 p.m.

The community center is at 6050 Mason-Montgomery Road.  For a schedule of events, go to www.imaginemason.org.
