Local home sales robust in October

Existing-home sales in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky continued booming in October, according to local Realtors’ groups.

The Cincinnati Board of Realtors this morning posted a nearly 19 percent increase in single-family and condo sales compared with October 2011, with 1,646 units sold. In addition, the median sale price increased more than 11 percent, to $124,000. Year-to-date, sales are 12 percent higher  than the same period in 2011.

The Northern Kentucky Association of Realtors reported more than an 8 percent increase in home sales in October, with 390 units sold. However, the median price dropped 4 percent compared with October 2011, to $125,250. Year-to-date, sales are up over 15 percent.
