More rain, less snow fell overnight

Jennifer Edwards Baker reports:

More rain and less snow than originally predicted fell overnight, leaving just a trace of snow at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

It’s 35 degrees this morning. The temperature should slip a few more degrees to 32 by 8 a.m., said meteorologist Andy Hatzos.

Roads are wet, but so far no major problems have been reported as the morning rush hour gets underway.

“Most areas didn’t get any snow,” Hatzos said.

Originally, the weather service predicted our region would see less than a half-inch of snow but most areas saw just a trace, if any.

Later, expect a mix of sun and clouds with a cool daytime high temperature of 41 degrees.
