Jennifer Edwards Baker reports:
The weather for this first weekend of December will seem more like spring than the start of winter.
Temperatures will push to 56 degrees today under a mix of sun and clouds and soar to 64 by Sunday. The mild weather will stick around the first few days of next week.
Typically the mercury hovers around 47 degrees for the first week of December, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.
But this year, a burst of warm air flowing up from the south will keep Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky at least 10 degrees above that through Tuesday.
Saturday looks good with plenty of sun and a high of 60. The overnight low will be 48.
A 50 percent chance for rain showers will move in Sunday after 8 a.m. It will be mostly cloudy with a high of 64.
The overnight low will only fall to 52.
Springtime temperatures will start out the work week with highs in the mid-60s Monday before falling to 59 by Tuesday.
Monday should be partly sunny, but more rain will return by Tuesday.
With the rain will come cooler temperatures more normal for this time of year. By Wednesday the high will only reach 44 degrees with overnight lows back in the 20s.
