The Mason High School senior was nominated by his work study coordinator, Keri Thompson, who praised his work ethic and commitment to his studies.
“Within the last six weeks, Jon has went from working within the school setting to a paid position at Skyline,” she said. “He takes his job very seriously and has made attendance at school a priority so he can go to work. It has been very rewarding for me to see Jon’s success at work and at school.”
After graduation, Oliver plans to study biodiesel mechanics at Great Oaks Vocational School.
The Kiwanis Club presented him with $50 and a certificate at a recent meeting. He is the grandson of Janet Dale.
