Students and teachers at Mason schools this week prepared a cargo of gift Christmas packages for mailing to servicemen stationed in Vietnam. Mason High School Student Council adopted the project as part of efforts of an organization called SUPPORT, Dallas, Tex., to support American troops in the combat zone.
Judy Bennett, fifth grade teacher, and Rosemary Dawson, second grade teacher, seal and label packages during the final mailing at Mason Post Office. Included in the parcels were such items as canned nuts, powdered drinks, cookies, fruit juices, writing supplies, pens, puzzles, games, chewing gum, toilet articles, magazines, paperback books and other items.
