The Mason High School Theater will present Neil Simon’s “Fools” Feb. 1-2 and 8-9.
The Vaudevillian style comedy set in 19th century Russia features an eager young schoolteacher about to teach in a small village cursed with stupidity. After falling in love with a student, the teacher finds he must break the curse in one day or suffer the town’s fate.
The cast stars Alex Kelsey and Lauren Magness as the lead characters, with Dillon Drozdz, Sheila Ragavendran and Ryley Arnold. Joanna Monfreda is the stage manager, with assistant directors Kailey Schneider and Emily Stretch.
Performances are 8 p.m. Feb. 1-2 and 8-9 and 3 p.m. Feb. 2. Senior citizens can attend the final dress reheard at 7 p.m. Jan. 31 at no cost.
