The week is off to a cold start with a wintry mix of light snow and rain expected this afternoon and evening.
Evening rush hour could get messy, but no real snow accumulation is expected, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.
It’s 17 degrees with a wind chill of 10 this morning at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. Later, the high temperature will only climb to 34 degrees. Normally this time of year, the mercury reaches 40.
The wintry mix will start around lunchtime and stick around through 9 p.m. The overnight low will fall to 22 degrees.
It will remain cloudy and colder than normal on Tuesday. The high temperature will struggle to reach 35.
Temperaratures will gradually warm starting Wednesday and top out in the mid-40s by Thursday.
