Thirty-three Mason High School seniors signed letters of intent to play sports for college programs at Mason’s Signing Day event Wednesday afternoon.
This year’s signees marked a record for the school, said Sports Information Director Dan Hilen. Nineteen students were honored at last year’s event.
Wednesday marked the start of the NCAA signing period for football, field hockey, soccer, track and field, cross country and men’s water polo. The football regular period runs through April 1. The other sports have Aug.1 as the final signing date.
