Mason students win big in arts competition

Sixty-eight Mason High School students earned 107 awards in the regional Scholastic Art Awards competition.

The annual competition, sponsored by Art Machine Inc., receives hundreds of submissions from students across Southwest Ohio, Southeast Indiana and Northern Kentucky.

Artwork of the winning students is on display through Friday at Madison Place, 50 West RiverCenter Blvd., Covington.

Twenty-five Mason students were award 35 Gold Key awards.  The works of these students will be submitted to New York City for judging in the national competition.

Gold Key winners are: Alice Zhang, Amber Warwick, April Lee, Ashley Hale, Austin Jordan, Brittany Dodson, Carolyn Wang, Christina Tomondi, Courtney Kappa, Elizabeth Bransford, Erica Boden, Gabrielle Stichweh, Holly Swartz, Jake Brinkmann, Katie Lipps, Kedi Hu, Lauren Huff, Macie Cousineau, Maddie Seiller, Olivia Small, Saeko Matsutani, Samantha Hayner, Symran Robinson, Yanna Silyuk, and Zoe Storch.
