Plenty of sun is in the forecast today as our region finally enjoys at taste of spring-like weather this weekend.
It’s still clear and cold this morning with 27 degrees and wind chills in the low 20s, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.
By 5 p.m., the mercury will climb to 44.
The overnight low will be 26.
Saturday will begin sunny but end with clouds moving in. The high temperature will be 54.
Rain will approach the region Sunday as the air remains warm with a high of 59 degrees.
Next week, a frontal system will arrive, bringing rain and colder temperatures with daytime highs back in the 40s.
