Bowdeya Tweh reports:
Winter weather appears to be releasing its grip on the region this weekend, but don’t expect warm temperatures to last until Monday for the Cincinnati Reds’ Opening Day.
The high temperature in the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area should be near 60 degrees this afternoon through Sunday, said Myron Padgett, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Wilmington. But, he said the chances of precipitation between Saturday night and Sunday afternoon are at 80 percent.
Thunderstorms are also possible both days and the low temperature Saturday could be about 44 degrees.
People planning on heading outdoors to enjoy Opening Day should expect chillier weather as the high temperature may reach 45 degrees, Padgett said. The chance of rain is at 30 percent and the low temperature Monday could be about 26 degrees.
