Jennifer Edwards Baker reports:
We’re off to another wet start this morning with light to moderate rain falling across Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.
The rain should move off to the east by 7 am. The rest of the day will be mostly cloudy with a high around 50, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.
That’s the current temperature at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky international Airport, so you will need to grab a jacket as you head out the door.
The mercury will dip a bit into the upper 40s later this morning and early afternoon before rebounding back to 50 by 3 p.m.
Temperatures will nose-dive tonight after a cold front came through the region Thursday. The low will plunge to 36 degrees.
Saturday will be partly sunny, but the high will only make it up to 56, about 10 degrees colder than normal for this time of year. Saturday night will be cold again with the low falling back to 36.
We’ll return to more normal temperatures for this time of year by Sunday. It will be partly sunny with a high in the upper 60s.
The mercury will rise above normal early next week with daytime highs in the mid-70s and plenty of sun through Monday.
The chance for showers and thunderstorms creeps back into the forecast by Tuesday and sticks around through Thursday.
