A Warren County grand jury Friday indicted a Morrow man police said assaulted another man and a police officer at Kings Island.
Jacob Smith, 27, is facing two charges of assault and one charge of resisting arrest in the June 27 incident at the Mason amusement park.
Police say an intoxicated Smith began harassing another park guest and then assaulted him.
When a Kings Island police officer attempted to escort Smith to the park’s police station, Smith became agitated and refused to walk and then shoved the officer in the chest, according to a police report.
Smith continued to struggle with the officer, who sprayed him with a chemical irritant before two Mason police officers working a special detail at the park arrived and took Smith into custody, police said.
Smith was released from Warren County Jail last month on a $10,000 bond. He faces up to 27 months in prison and a $6,750 fine if convicted of the charges.
