Jennifer Edwards Baker reports:
There’s a 40 percent chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms this afternoon.
Severe weather is not expected.
Today’s high temperature will reach 84 degrees. The National Weather Service in Wilmington is calling for partly sunny skies.
It’s already a muggy 71 degrees this morning at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. A bit of light fog was beginning to develop by 4:30 a.m. near the Ohio River on the east side of the city.
It should be partly cloudy tonight with a low around 66.
More scattered showers could develop Thursday as a cold front arrives from the northwest, said meteorologist Steve Rhebenach. Otherwise, it will be partly sunny with the high temperature soaring to 88 degrees.
The cold front will push temperatures down to the low 80s Friday and Saturday. Expect dry conditions with lots of sun.
By Sunday, the mercury will begin creeping into the upper 80s, and we’ll reach 90 degrees on Monday.
