Students at Liberty Bible Academy in Mason will hold a bake sale Saturday to help purchase instruments for needy students.
Proceeds from the sale, set for 8-11 a.m. at the Deerfield Township Wal-Mart store, 5303 Bowen Drive, will be used to purchase recorders for after-school programs at area Salvation Army community centers.
“It’s an important part of our educational experience to support the mission of local charitable organizations,” said Jill Beasley, the school’s public relations director. “We’re pleased that we can demonstrate to our children the importance of helping out other children who are less fortunate.”
Students plan to present the recorders at the Salvation Army’s Annual Luncheon in mid-November at Paul Brown Stadium. A Children’s chorus from the school will perform in the celebration.
