Jennifer Edwards Baker reports:
Be sure to get out and enjoy the gorgeous, sunny autumn days today and Tuesday.
Both days will be sun-filled with daytime highs in the low 60s.
It’s 37 degrees now at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.
Our morning low should slip to 33 degrees with areas of patchy fog and frost before climbing to 51 by lunchtime and 62 at 5 p.m., according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.
That’s right about where we should be for this time of year, said meteorologist Ashley Novak.
Starting Tuesday night, we’re in for a soaking as a warm front and then a cold front sweep in. The systems will bring rain and and thunderstorms Tuesday night and Wednesday through Halloween night Thursday.
In fact, the weather will be downright scary on Halloween: overcast and stormy. There’s an 80 percent chance for showers and thunderstorms Thursday and Thursday night.
The only good news about this forecast is the warm front will push nighttime temperatures above normal.
Daytime highs will be in the upper 60s and overnight lows will only fall to the upper 50s, about 10 degrees warmer than normal for this time of year.
The sun is expected to return by Friday. The high will be 62.
