Two Mason businesswomen have been honored as YWCA of Greater Cincinnati Rising Stars.
Dana Smith, an R&D section manager for the Bounty franchise at Procter & Gamble, and Michelle Avila, a customer service manager for Macy’s credit and customer services, were among 48 professional businesswomen in the region to be named to this year’s class.
The YWCA Academy of Career Women of Achievement launched the program in 2002 as a way to mentor and support women ages 25-40 in their careers and build future leaders in the Greater Cincinnati region.
YWCA academy and board members nominate younger career women for the award. Nomination criteria include having the qualities of an outstanding performer and demonstrating a potential to attain marked achievement in her chosen career. Members are invited to participate in exclusive educational, networking and social events sponsored by the YWCA.
