Posted by rrichardson January 3rd, 2013, 1:04 pm Post a Comment

Wanted

Crime Stoppers has increased the reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of five men wanted in connection for fraudulent credit card purchases and theft of luxury cars.

Warren County Sheriffs deputies say that five black men all wearing black clothing entered the BP station at 9855 Mason-Montgomery Road in Deerfield Township at about 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 30 and made multiple credit card transactions, which were later declined.

WantedThe suspects were driving a dark green conversion van with cream along the bottom and bearing an Illinois plate.

That same morning, police say two men, who match the descriptions of two of the suspects in the fraudulent credit card case at BP, were observed on the lot of Kings Porsche at 9847 Kings Automall Drive in Deerfield Township.

An employee of the dealership spotted one of the men driving one of the dealership’s white 2013 Porsche Cayenne SUV out of the lot. Shortly after, it was discovered a second white 2013 Porsche Cayenne was missing from the lot.

The suspects were both dressed in black clothing. One is estimated be in his 50s, while the other appeared to be in his 20s, according to police reports.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the suspects’ identification and arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call Warren County Sheriff’s Det. Jerry Niffenegger at 513-701-1807 or Crime Stoppers at 513-352-3040.

Snack cake thief dumps Little Debbies

Posted by rrichardson November 13th, 2012, 6:07 pm Post a Comment

Janice Morse reports:

Apparently the thief didn’t have a sweet tooth.

Whoever stole a truckload of Little Debbie snack cakes from Warren County on Friday has apparently ditched the treats. Dozens of brown cardboard boxes packed with Little Debbies were found this afternoon at a business in the 1900 block of Dalton Avenue, police said.

And, alas, “someone left the cake out in the rain,” just as in songstress Donna Summer’s 1978 hit, “MacArthur Park.” Tuesday’s discovery of the dumped boxes followed a rainy Monday. That’s why the goods couldn’t be salvaged, said Warren County sheriff’s Sgt. Brandon Lacy.

Tristate Crime Stoppers contacted Warren County investigators about the discovery of the boxes this afternoon, Lacy said. Then authorities contacted the truck’s owner and verified that the discarded items were his, Lacy said.

Authorities are still searching for the unmarked truck and trailer, which went missing Friday from a parking lot at Shell gas station, 9791 Mason-Montgomery Road, Deerfield Township.

The license plate on the red 2012 Dodge Dually truck is PHV-6854.

The plate on the black 2008 enclosed trailer is TPM-7423.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Jerry Niffennegger: 513-695-2525, or Crime Stoppers: 513-352-3040.
