A Mason singer/songwriter whose song premiered on Fox 19′s “Cincinnality” this month is using his popularity to raise donations for area food banks.
Brent Bachochin’s song “Canned in Cincinnati” premiered on the daytime variety show earlier this month.
Former WARM98 morning man Dean Miuccio co-hosts the show with former broadcasters Randi Douglas (WRRM-FM) and Amanda Orlando (WUBE-FM), and Dan Carroll, a WLW-AM fill-in host and former WXIX-TV anchor.
Bachochin’s band stars as the show’s house band.
The band will donate 100 percent of profits from “Canned” shirts and hats sold at their online store at www.brentbachochin.com to the Mason Food Pantry, where he volunteers. The pantry is operated by Grace Chapel.
“We have a very specific vision for this fun song, and that is to raise awareness of Cincinnati area food pantries that are in desperate need,” said Bachochin.
“Canned in Cincinnati” is available at all major retailers, including iTunes.
The Enquirer’s John Kiesewetter reports that Channel 19 gave “Cincinnality” a one-week test at 3 p.m. Sept. 12-16. After evaluating ratings and production quality, “Cincinnality” likely will air on Channel 19.2 (THIS TV) at noon weekdays starting Oct. 3, said Bill Lanesey, general manager.
