Perfect attendance pays at Mason High School — literally.
The school has partnered with Greater Cincinnati Credit Union to offer a cash incentive for students to maintain good attendance. GCCU offers six prizes of $100 each semester to students who have perfect attendance.
But the odds of winning a cash prize are high — 526 students maintained perfect attendance during the school’s second trimester.
This semester’s winners are freshman Frances Kraimer, sophomore Julia Kraimer, juniors Teja Hill and Hayes Hiltenbeitel and seniors Tom Troughton and Karen Wagner. The students were recognized at recent awards ceremony.
“It’s a real pleasure to recognize kids for doing something right,” said Tammi Ellis of GCCU. “For parents, it’s nice to hear positive things about your child, and the Perfect Attendance program is a chance to recognize something positive.”
