John Kiesewetter reports:

Former “Saved by the Bell” actor Ed Alonzo brings his  ”Psycho Circus of Magic & Mayhem 2″ magic show to Kings Island Theater Saturday for a second straight summer.

Alonzo will perform through August 11 (except Wednesdays). His show is included with Kings Island park admission.

Here’s a link to my blog last summer after interviewing him. The KI release:

Ed Alonzo’s ‘Psycho Circus of Magic & Mayhem 2’ opens June 1

The magic and laughs continue this summer at Kings Island as Ed Alonzo returns with an all-new follow-up to last year’s popular ‘Psycho Circus of Magic & Mayhem’ show.

Located in the Kings Island Theater, Ed Alonzo’s Psycho Circus of Magic & Mayhem 2 will engage guests with thrilling vanishing acts and incredible stunts sure to leave the crowd in awe.

Alonzo, the self-proclaimed “Misfit of Magic”, is a two-time recipient of the “Stage Magician of the Year” and “Comedy Magician of the Year” awards from the internationally recognized Academy of Magical Arts (AMA) and is known for his role on the hit television sitcom ‘Saved by the Bell” (1989 to 1990) as Max, the proprietor/magician of the local restaurant hangout ‘The Max.’

John Kiesewetter reports:

“Saved By The Bell” actor Ed Alonzo is still up to his old magic tricks.

Alonzo – “Max” the magician/diner manager on the cult sitcom – is making ducks and dancers disappear in the Kings Island Theater until Aug. 19.

He doesn’t seem to mind that old TV pals Zack and Kelly (Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Tiffani Thiessen) star in cable dramas, and Slater (Mario Lopez) hosts a slew of TV shows while he’s running around an amusement park stage in “Ed Alonzo’s Psycho Circus of Magic & Mayhem”

“This is not easy for a 50-year-old guy, with the costume changes and props. But I wouldn’t do anything else. It’s a lot of fun,” said Alonzo, a five-time Academy of Magical Arts award winner.

He didn’t just appear at Kings Island this summer. He’s worked 16 years for parent Cedar Fair Entertainment at Knott’s Berry Farm near Los Angeles, and other parks.

The Los Angeles native played “Max” for three seasons (1989-92) when “Saved By The Bell” aired on Saturday mornings.
