Mason High School band students will be marching door-to-door seeking donations during its annual Tag Day fundraiser next Saturday, Aug. 4.
The fundraiser is one of the program’s largest and helps provide students with the opportunity to perform at a national level.

According to a release from the school district, the community’s support from last year’s Tag Day helped the MHS Marching Band compete at BOA Grand Nationals. During the competition, for the first time in program history, the band earned a spot in the finals and finished 10th in the nation. The MHS Wind Symphony and Symphonic bands also participated in “The Best of the Midwest II” concert in Chicago’s famed Symphony Center.
Since band students are not able to reach every Mason resident on Tag Day, donations to the program can also be mailed to: MHS Band Boosters, PO Box 310, Mason, OH, 45040 (checks payable to Mason City Schools). Please indicate that the donation is for Tag Day and how you would like your name to be listed in upcoming band programs.
