Nearly 100 area artists will descend on Mason Saturday for the FallFair Arts Festival.
The event, sponsored by the Mason-Deerfield Arts Alliance, takes place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Cottell Park, 5847 Irwin-Simpson Road, Deerfield Township.
The juried event features a variety of artists who sell and demonstrate their craft in mediums like photography, sculpture, painting, jewelry, ceramics and glass work, among others.
Paintings by MDAA’s painting group will be on display in the Snyder House at the park and a student exhibition will feature more than 60 works by Mason students.
Nearly 5,000 people attend the annual event, now in its eighth year. The festival awards monetary prizes in 10 categories by art medium.
Live entertainment will be provided throughout the day by groups like the Northern Cincinnati Youth Orchestra, Cincinnati Boy Choir and the Kings Kokorodza Marimba ensemble.
Other activities include an interactive “Wish Wall,” where attendees are encouraged to record their feelings on a large chalk board, and an interactive photographic project, where attendees are furnished with disposable cameras to snap shots of the day’s events.
Admission is free and open to the public. Overflow parking and shuttles are available at Natorp’s Garden Nursery at 8601 Snider Road.
