Dr. Monica Hartman recently joined Mercy Health Physicians at its Deerfield Township office.

Hartman, who specializes in family medicine, is board certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine.

She completed her residency at St. Anthony North Hospital in Westminster, Colo., where she served as chief resident from 2011-2012.

Hartman also holds certifications in advanced life support in obstetrics and advanced cardiac life support.

“I am excited to begin my journey here at Mercy Health and I feel very fortunate to be part of such a strong, mission-based organization,” she said.

Dr. Naila Goldenberg has joined the staff at the Mercy Health Physicians Endocrinology and Diabetes office in Deerfield Township.

Goldenberg, who specializes in treating endocrinology, diabetes and cholesterol, is board certified in endocrinology and clinical lipidology.

She previously taught as a clinical assistant professor of endocrinology at the University of Cincinnati and has served as the assistant medical director of the Cholesterol Center at The Jewish Hospital – Mercy Health since 2007.

“I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to join such a strong mission-based organization like Mercy Health and continuing my work on improving cholesterol and diabetes care for my patients,” she said.

“I am very excited to be working as an endocrinologist in the Deerfield community. It feels like home, since I live in the neighborhood,” she added.

Dr. Jennifer Mardos has joined Mercy Health Physicians at its Deerfield Family Medicine practice at 5232 Socialville-Foster Road in Mason.

Mardos, an osteopathic physician board-certified in family practice, is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians and the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians.

She earned her medical degree at Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency at the University of Chicago.

Dr. Michael Chen has joined the office of Mercy Health Physicians – Orthopedic and Spine Specialists.

Chen, a board-eligible orthopedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine, will see patients at the group’s Deerfield office at 5232 Socialville-Foster Road and its Western Hills office.

The Louisiana native completed his orthopedic surgery residency at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, where he was also named the Allen Research Fellow.

After his residency, Chen pursued a fellowship in orthopedic sports medicine at Stanford University, where he served as assistant team physician for the university’s 34 varsity teams, including football, and the NFL’s San Francisco 49′ers.

His work has been published in the British and American volumes of the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, Arthroscopy and the Journal of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
