Mason’s two theme parks will have plenty of ways to celebrate Independence Day.
Kings Island
Kings Island will hold its Kings Island fireworks Extravaganza event at 10 p.m. today and its Fourth of July Weekend Fireworks Extravaganza at 10 p.m. tomorrow, July 3.
See Snoopy’s Starlight Spectacular, a light show, starring favorite characters of the Peanuts gang before fireworks. The Eiffel Tower and patriotic music will be the backdrop for Rozzi’s Famous Fireworks display.
Fireworks shows included with admission: $52.99 at gate, $35.99 online. www.visitkingsisland.com. Military personnel receive free admission through July 4.
The Beach Waterpark
The Beach Waterpark kick off the celebration on Saturday with Saturday Sizzlin’ Sounds Music Series from 2 to 5 p.m., a Dive-In movie showing of “Despicable Me” at dusk and its “Celebrate America” fireworks show at 11 p.m.
The festivities continue on Sunday with the Miller Lite Reggae Fest from 2 to 5 p.m. featuring the band True Believers. An All-American Picnic is set for noon on Monday, July 4.
