Arloi Dee Thai Bistro took the top prize in The Best of Taste, the culinary face-off that’s a runner-up to The Taste of Cincinnati.
The Mason eatery won the biggest prize, The Best Damn Dish, with its crab and shrimp dumplings with noodles.
Culinary honors are nothing new for Arloi Dee, which has been voted the best Thai food by many Cincinnati area publications, garnered a Best Pad Thai award, named a Stunning Thai Find and won numerous awards at Taste of Cincinnati.
The Lumsum family opened this second location of a downtown Thai restaurant in 2002. The Mason location at 4920 Socialville-Foster Road features a large dining room, outdoor patio and sushi bar.
Enquirer food critic Polly Campbell has written that its Thai menu probably offers the most exotic food in the area, with Thai curries and stir-fries and a good choice of small appetizers.
The Taste of Cincinnati, with more than 40 restaurants serving tasting-size dishes, plus entertainment, will be held Memorial Day weekend, May 26-28, Downtown.
