Dozens of walkers turned out Saturday for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s annual 5K Walk to Cure Diabetes event held at Kings Island.
The 3.1-mile course gave walkers views of many of the Mason amusement park’s most popular attractions, including its new Dinosaurs Alive! exhibit, which opened last year and is billed as the world’s largest animatronic dinosaur park.
An after-race festival included children’s games and activities, entertainment, health screenings and food.
Since 2001, the JDRF 5k Walk at Kings Island has raised more than $8 million.
