The Warren County Board of Developmental Disabilities held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday to dedicate the opening of its new South Lebanon Vocational program.
The new two-story training site at 125 West Forest Ave. in Lebanon offers vocational training in janitorial services, general automobile maintenance, lawn care maintenance and small assembly. Small engine repair training will be added in the near future.
Twelve people with developmental disabilities are currently enrolled in the program. The WCBDD serves more than 1,300 people with disabilities in Warren County.
“Ultimately our goal is to get everybody out into the community and help them become productive citizens,” said Dawn McKenna, director of community relations. “It’s a stepping stone.”
